Road To Hershey – Quarterfinals Recaps
The state playoffs began for the four WPIAL football champions on Friday night with snow and a chill in the air. The WPIAL has never swept the PIAA football playoffs in 22 years of the state postseason and it won't again here in 2010. First 2010-2011 MSA Sports Cup Standings Coming on X-Mas Day
The chase for the MSA Sports Cup is underway in the 2010-2011 high school sports season. The MSA Sports Cup is a challenge to determine the best sports program for the school year from the WPIAL in each classification. The first standings through the fall season will be released on Christmas Day.

Sunday was quite a memorable day for high school girls volleyball. The morning began with the (24) student-athletes (12) players each on the "Terrific 21" Girls Volleyball Program and Ohio District One All-Star teams being honored with an All-Star Breakfast at the Embassy Suites Pittsburgh-International Airport Hotel.

WPIAL Plays of the Week – WPIAL Championships 2010

Eight teams showed up on the North Shore on Saturday with a job to get done. There were four WPIAL football titles up for grabs as each team had the thirst to be number one. These are the key plays that for the winners turned out to be so bold. As we tip our caps to North Allegheny, Central Valley, South Fayette and Clairton as they all left Heinz Field with the gold.

WPIAL Coaching Changes – Butler Football
Butler High School is in search of a new football coach...again. After one year as the head coach of the Golden Tornado football program, Jim Rankin has resigned citing family reasons for his decisions. Rankin lives in Brighton Heights and said the job was more difficult to handle than anticipated. Rankin's 9 year old grandson also lives with him.

Da Bears, Da Bears, Da Bears – Clairton Wins Again 12-6
November 28, 2010
Three-peat. The Clairton Bears became just the second team in WPIAL Class A history to win three straight titles, earning the trifecta with a 12-0 victory over the Rochester Rams in a Saturday morning matchup at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.

Central Valley Brings Home Gold in District
Central Valley earned the WPIAL Class AAA title with a 24-7 upset of undefeated Montour Saturday as the sun set on Heinz Field. The Warriors defense stepped up to shut down the high-powered offense of the Spartans to bring home the gold in the district's inaugural season.

Fumbles Spoil Quips Quest for AA Title as SF Lions Roar 19-6
The South Fayette Lions picked up their third WPIAL Championship with a 19-6 win over the Aliquippa Quips on Saturday afternoon at a blustery Heinz Field. The Lions took advantage of four Quips turnovers, three in the second half to claim their first title since 1964.
