In fact, 62 of the 67 games were decided by at least two touchdowns. Regardless, we were able to sift through the blowouts and find the three most meaningful plays from the weekend. #1 Avella Eagles 26 - Jefferson-Morgan Rockets 21

Big Game Hunting for Week Four 2012
September 19, 2012
Rolling through the 2012 season in a hurry as week four comes upon us here in southwestern Pennsylvania, leaves and the weather starting to change. Avella is 3-0 for the first time since 1976 and West Shamokin snapped the longest losing streak in WPIAL history with their 25-6 win over Riverview last Friday. Some change can be good. All this change can make it tough on the “Big Game Hunting” guy, but hey, he’s a gamer.

It wasn't District 7 officials, rather Mother Nature that took center stage? Mmmm. Oh well, the Saturday list shrunk from five to four games because of the storms that rolled through Saturday night, but those four standouts were able to shine bright, even on a cloud-filled day.Kyle Whipple & Kevin Faulk - East Allegheny
