There will be a new champion crowned Saturday as Schenley is the defending champion. Both teams are no strangers to championships. A bit of surprise was supposed to be in store for high school football fans with THREE games on this first night of Week Three. However Mother Nature forced the postponement of one of the WPIAL games, thus the schedule shrunk back to the normal one WPIAL and one Pittsburgh City League game. Over the past five seasons, four different teams have won Pittsburgh City League championships (Brashear won twice). Look for the balance of power to continue this season. It doesn't seem like there is a prohibitive favorite to win the City League this year. Schenley captured the title a year ago.
