Shenango senior Brad Thornton claimed his first individual championship, firing a one-over par 73 to win the WPIAL Boys Division II Golf Championships at the New Castle Country Club on Monday afternoon. Saturday was one of the lightest days at the district high school football restaurant with only four WPIAL main courses to choose from with a pair of Pittsburgh City League non-conference sides.
