For the first time in 17 years, the Mount Lebanon boys tennis team is celebrating gold. The top-seed Blue Devils edged two-time defending champion Shady Side Academy in a match started Thursday and finished Friday due to rain. The 2011 WPIAL softball season is set to begin on Friday, March 25th. After finishing close for so many years, the Shady Side Academy boys team has finally reached the top of the state Class AA swimming mountain. The Indians swam their way to a state title Wednesday and Thursday at Bucknell University by beating runner-up Fairview by 27 points.
