Delrece Williams was a prolific runner at Steel Valley High School, but when he graduated from Steel Valley High School, he had to pass the baton to the next star tailback.It turns out Williams didn’t have to go far to pass the baton. It was a rare season in the WPIAL in terms of points. Three players averaged 30 points or more for the first time in at least 25 years. There is plenty of silver to be found in Southwestern Pennsylvania following the state basketball championships at Penn State University. Mount Lebanon in AAAA, Montour in AAA, Greensburg Central Catholic in AA and Lincoln Park in A all lost in the state finals in Happy Valley, three of them fell to District 12 powers while Mount Lebanon lost to the District 1 champs.
