Peters Twp, Hampton and Seton-LaSalle Win 2010 WPIAL Boys Soccer Titles
A pair of top-seeds and a second-seed captured gold on Super Soccer Saturday. Both Seton-LaSalle in Class A and Hampton in Class AA enjoyed dominating victories while it took Peters Township two overtimes to win the Class AAA thriller, the Indians second title in three years. Peters Twp, Mars, Shady Side are the 2010 WPIAL Soccer Golden Girls
The district girls soccer championships are in the books with three new champions crowned on Super Soccer Saturday at both Baldwin and Elizabeth Forward High Schools. Both Peters Township in AAA and Shady Side Academy in A captured girls soccer crowns for the first time in school history, while Mars continued its perfect season by winning a second district AA championship and first since 2000.

Mars Remains Perfect With WPIAL Girls AA Soccer Championship

The Planets capped off a perfect run through the WPIAL season with a 2-0 win over Beaver Saturday at Baldwin High School. Second seeded Mars ends its championship season at (22-0) and even though the Planets controlled the ball and most of the play against the Bobcats, it took a while for the games first goal to be tallied.

Hampton is the New Sheriff in the WPIAL Boys AA Soccer Town After Ousting Mars
On the one hand, Hampton (21-1-0) had defeated Mars (14-6-2) twice during the 2010 regular season, and was certainly motivated to avenge a loss in the 2009 WPIAL Championship game. On the other hand, the Planets were the two-time defending champion, but the Talbots would not be denied the gold medal this time, winning 4-1 at Baldwin High School on Saturday evening.

A lawyer working at a firm in California happened to be a huge Texas Rangers fan. Fox Chapel and Central Valley Win First Ever WPIAL Girls Team Golf D-I and D-II Titles

It was a historic day for WPIAL girl's golf Thursday at the Cedarbrook Golf Club in Belle Vernon. On the first year the district crowned two champions instead of one, Fox Chapel won gold for the first time in school history led by the first family of girl's golf, Nadia and Katerina Luttner.
