The final Saturday of high school football in both District 7 and District 8 in the 2010 regular season turns out to be the lightest Saturday schedule of the season. At 99 year old Youghiogeny Country Club, the WPIAL Boys Division II Golf Championships were played Wednesday. There were 18 groups that teed off on either the compact front nine or the wide open back nine beginning at 9:00 AM with a total of 56 golfers.

CTK 2010 – WPIAL A BIG SEVEN Conference Preview

Two of the four playoff teams from the WPIAL Class A Big Seven Conference in 2009 are no longer in the conference, with Monaca ending their program and Laurel moving up to the Class AA Midwestern Conference. The conference will be wide open for playoff spots, but one thing remains the same, Rochester is always a favorite to head to the playoffs and Heinz Field.
