The PSAC title was determined, the race in the Northeast Conference is winding down and an upset of the number one team in Division I FCS play highlighted the weekend of college football around the area. 32 have exited the Highway to Heinz while 32 others are rambling on toward the round two exit. There were very few surprises in the First Round as only four double-digit seeds were victorious. #10 Hopewell in Class AAA, #13 Ellwood City in AA and a pair of #11-seeds - South Fayette in AA and Fort Cherry in A were able to keep their long-shot title hopes alive through the opening weekend.District College Football Recap – 11/06/2011

The final day of the 2011 regular season and the final Saturday of high school football...well, until the WPIAL championships that is.
