We reached the final stop on this years trip on the Highway to Heinz. It was Semifinals Friday around District 7. 16 teams entered Friday's action with dreams of playing at the big house next Saturday dancing in their heads, however those dreams only became reality for eight of those football teams. Week 12 is upon us and, other than down in single A it is genuinely difficult to say there is a clear cut favorite to win WPIAL gold in any classification. Sixteen teams saw their dreams of WPIAL football gold and a trip to the North Show come to an end as they were forced to exit the Highway to Heinz on Quarterfinals Friday.
