Just two weeks into the new high school football season, only 38 of 177 WPIAL teams remain undefeated.

Two of those teams that tasted defeat for the first time in 2023 last week dropped out of the Trib 10 as Central Valley lost to Avonworth and Canon-McMillan fell to North Allegheny, the top team in the rankings for a second straight week.

That opens the door for a couple of South Hills powers, Mt. Lebanon and Peters Township, to join this week’s power rankings.

In Week 2, there will be another head-to-head battle among Trib 10 teams when No. 7 Belle Vernon welcomes No. 6 McKeesport to “The Beach” at BVA.

Here are this week’s Trib 10 power rankings. Teams are listed with overall record, last week’s ranking and this week’s opponent. These rankings have zero classification boundaries.
