There continues to be tweaks to the weekly Trib HSSN boys basketball state rankings in nearly every classification as the end of the regular season approaches.

Five teams dropped out and five teams are making their debut this week, with the only classification standing pat are the five teams in Class 3A.

McDowell, Mechanicsburg, Berks Catholic, Holy Cross and Conemaugh Valley all lost once, some twice this past week and fell out of the Top 5.

Their misfortune is a big break for the five new teams joining the state rankings — St. Joseph Prep, Shaler, Blue Mountain, Greensburg Central Catholic and Farrell.

All of the top-ranked teams remained in place with Lower Merion in 6A, Imhotep Charter in 5A, Neumann-Goretti in 4A, Troy in 3A, Constitution in 2A and Imani Christian in A still at No. 1.

Here is the latest PIAA Top 5 in each of the six classifications for 2023-24. The team’s district is the number in parenthesis after their record, followed by their ranking last week.
