Vincentian Academy edges Quigley Catholic in Class A consolation game

Eric Ford belted an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning to give No. 2 Vincentian Academy a 2-1 walk-off victory over No. 4 Quigley Catholic in the WPIAL Class A consolation baseball game Wednesday night at Washington & Jefferson’s Ross Memorial Park.
Dan Morgano knocked in the other Vincentian run with a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning to score Jake Stotsky.
The Royals (13-4) advance to the PIAA tournament, where they will meet Elk County Catholic on Monday.
Quigley Catholic finished its season 13-8.
