Tasso Whipple

Penn-Trafford, Jr., RB/LB

The 6-foot-1, 195-pounder had a breakout for the Warriors. He rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns and caught four passes for 36 yards and another score to lead Penn-Trafford to its first win of the season. His 41-yard run in the third quarter gave the Warriors a 28-13 lead.

Players to watch

Jake Kaylor

Southmoreland, Jr., K/WR/DB

The 5-foot-10, 160-pounder kicked the tying field goal and winning field goal in the fourth quarter to help Southmoreland rally for a 24-21 victory against Derry. Kaylor booted a 24-yarder to tie the score and a 32-yarder with 49 seconds left to win it.

Samir Crosby

Greensburg CC, So., WR/DB

The 5-foot-11, 160-pounder had 19 tackles, 13 solo, forced two fumbles and snagged two interceptions to help the Centurions defeat West Greene, 48-30. He also had a touchdown catch and a 70-yard kickoff return.

Anthony Crews

Belle Vernon, Jr. WR/DB

The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder carried the ball three times for 80 yards and a touchdown and caught five passes for 34 and another score to help unbeaten Belle Vernon defeat McKeesport, 21-14, in overtime.
