Westmoreland County football players to watch in 2023 Week 7

Player of the week

Ayden Hudock

Franklin Regional, Sr., WR/S

The 6-foot-1 Hudock began Franklin Regional’s game against Norwin last week by returning the kickoff 92 yards for a score. He then caught three touchdowns passes (6, 56 and 58 yards) from quarterback Chase Lemke as the Panthers defeated Norwin, 37-29. He finished with eight catches for 167 yards. He has 30 catches for 586 yards and nine touchdowns this season.

Players to watch

Adam LaCarte

Belle Vernon, Sr., TE/DE

The 6-foot senior has four catches for 42 yards and a touchdown so far this season. On defense, he has 29 tackles and one interception, which he returned 49 yards.

Rodney Johnson

Monessen, So., TE/OLB

The sophomore has contributed on both sides of the ball. He has rushed for 127 yards and has nine catches for 190 yards. On defense, he has 35 tackles, three sacks and a forced fumble.

Brady Brown

Derry, Fr., FB/LB

The 5-foot-9, 190-pounder leads Derry in tackles. In six games, he has averaged 12 tackles a game and has nine tackles for losses. He sees action on offense in a limited role.
