Here’s a look at four Westmoreland County football players to watch in Week Zero:

Cole Chatfield

Mt. Pleasant, Jr., QB

This is Chatfield’s third season as a starter for the Vikings. He completed 66 of 123 passes for 1,212 yards and 11 touchdowns last season. Chatfield may utilize his legs more in the ground game, but his experience at quarterback is invaluable.

Lonnie Greene

Jeannette, Jr., T/DE

The 6-foot-4, 230 pound junior is being switched from tight end to tackle this season out of necessity. He also is looking to improve on his 11 quarterback sacks from a year ago on the defensive side of the ball.

John Jablunovsky

Ligonier Valley, Jr. RB/DB

The 5-10, 161-pound junior rushed for 783 yards and scored 11 touchdowns as a sophomore. His role will expand this season as the Rams switch to a wing-T offense. He also returns in the secondary.

Raidon Kuroda

Yough, Jr., QB/LB

The junior took over as quarterback in the middle of last season and completed 23 of 42 passes for 292 yards and three touchdowns. He looks to play a larger role this season and hopes to connect with Antonio Marra a few more times.
