How they got here: Norwin defeated Central Catholic, 4-3; Butler defeated Mt. Lebanon, 3-2 (8 innings).
Extra bases: Norwin defeated Central Catholic, 4-3, in the quarterfinals on a walk-off hit by pitch. The Knights scored all four runs in the seventh inning. Central Catholic pitchers hit three Norwin batters with pitches in the seventh inning. … Karsten Lenyk drew a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the eighth inning for Butler in its 3-2 win over Mt. Lebanon. Ryan Rattigan drove in a run with a single. Butler won Section 2-6A.

How they got here: Derry defeated Beaver, 2-1, and Hampton, 5-2; Indiana defeated Knoch, 1-0.
Players to watch: Cason Long, Derry, Chase Force, Indiana
Extra bases: Derry pulled off its second consecutive WPIAL playoff upset behind the pitching on Max Doherty, who won his second playoff game. The Trojans reached the semifinals for the first time since 1994, when they were WPIAL champions. Anthony Sacco tripled, Long walked and Doherty delivered a two-run double. Doherty went 2 for 2. … Force went 3 for 3 with two doubles, and Ethan Shank drove in the winning run with a groundout for Indiana. Brady Oakes and Charlie Manzi combined on the shutout. Indiana is the returning WPIAL and PIAA champion. It defeated Derry, 8-3, on April 8 and 10-3 on April 9.

How they got here: Greensburg Central Catholic defeated Jefferson-Morgan, 4-1; Serra Catholic defeated Aquinas Academy, 13-3 (5 innings).
Players to watch: Anthony Grippo, Greensburg Central Catholic; Max Black, Serra Catholic.
Extra bases: Greensburg Central Catholic rode the right arm and bat of Tyler Samide to a victory against Jefferson-Morgan. Samade tossed a two-hitter, struck out 17 and hit a three-run homer. Senior catcher Anthony Grippo added a solo home run. … Black went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for the Eagles against Aquinas Academy. Jake Jellison went 3 for 3 with a triple and RBI, Liam Sommer had two RBIs and Cole Hann had four RBIs. This is the 11th consecutive season Serra has reached the WPIAL semifinals. Serra defeated Greensburg Central Catholic, 3-2, in the 2025 semifinals. Serra has won five WPIAL titles, including last year. GCC has one title. Both teams have qualified for the PIAA playoffs, which begin June 1.
