There are just under two weeks left in section play in WPIAL boys soccer, so nearly every game has meaning in the fight for section crowns, playoff seeding and a postseason berth.

The top four teams in two district sections go head to head Tuesday.

In Section 2-4A, first-place Upper St. Clair (9-1) travels to fourth-place Canon-McMillan (6-3-1) while second-place Norwin (8-2) hosts third-place Peters Township (7-3).

In Section 4-3A, front-running Plum (10-0) travels to second-place Latrobe (8-2) while third-place Franklin Regional (7-3) visits fourth-place Gateway (6-2-2).

Two other matches in Class A have first place up for grabs.

In Section 2-A, Charleroi (7-0) is on the road to battle Bentworth (6-1). The Cougars handed the Bearcats their only section loss on Sept. 9, 2-0.

In Section 4-A, Seton LaSalle (6-1) hosts first-place Serra Catholic (7-0). Also back in September, the Eagles edged the visiting Rebels, 2-1.

Serving for first

It’s another busy Tuesday of district girls volleyball with a couple of matches set with first place at stake.

In Section 3-4A, Hempfield visits Penn-Trafford. The host Warriors find themselves in first place at 4-0, one game ahead of the 3-1 Spartans.

In Section 1-3A, Plum hosts Hampton. The Talbots are undefeated overall and 7-0 in the section while the Mustangs are a game back at 6-1.

In Section 2-2A, Keystone Oaks travels to South Allegheny. The Golden Eagles are flying high in first place with a section record of 8-0, one game ahead of the Gladiators at 7-1.
