WPIAL baseball playoff clinchings for May 9, 2023

Tuesday, May 9, 2023 | 11:43 PM

The 2023 WPIAL baseball playoff field now has 75 teams in the six classifications that have clinched with two days left in the regular season.

Only two or three teams in Section 4-3A are still up in the air before the postseason field is set.

The top four teams in each section qualify for the playoffs, which means there could be as many as 78 schools participating.

Exclusive coverage of the 2023 WPIAL baseball playoffs is only here on TribHSSN.TribLive.com, starting with the unveiling of the brackets in the Playoff Pairings Show on Friday.
