WPIAL baseball playoff clinchings through May 7

With only a few days left in the 2018 baseball regular season, the WPIAL playoff picture is all set with the exception of two possible additions in Class 2A. Here are the teams that have punched their ticket to the district postseason. Check out TribHSSN.TribLive.com for exclusive broadcast coverage of the WPIAL baseball playoffs. This list updated through Monday, May 7:
Class 6A — Set with 13 teams
(6A explanation: North Allegheny finished tied for fourth place with Shaler and Seneca Valley. North Allegheny finished 3-1 in head-to-head, Shaler was 2-2 and Seneca Valley was 1-3, so North Allegheny clinches).
Class 5A —Set with 13 teams

(2A playoff scenario: Beth-Center can clinch with a win over Fort Cherry on Wednesday and a Fort Cherry loss at Frazier on Tuesday. Apollo-Ridge can clinch with three wins in a doubleheader against Sto-Rox on Tuesday and at Riverview on Thursday and a Bishop Canevin loss at Northgate on Wednesday).
