WPIAL Class 4A football roundup: Trinity upsets No. 2 Thomas Jefferson

Jonah Williamson threw for 54 yards and ran for 104 yards and three touchdowns as Trinity scored a 23-6 upset victory over No. 2 Thomas Jefferson (6-1, 2-1) in the Class 4A Big Seven Conference on Friday night.
Andrew Durig added 82 rushing yards and a touchdown for Trinity (4-3, 2-2).
Brayden White scored on a 6-yard TD pass from Luke Kosko for TJ.
Latrobe 35, Ringgold 6 — Ja’Twan Williams caught three touchdowns from John Wetzel as Latrobe (5-2, 3-1) defeated Ringgold (0-7, 0-3) in the Big Seven Conference.
McKeesport 48, Connellsville 6 — Anthony Boyd ran for 156 yards and two touchdowns as No. 3 McKeesport (6-1, 4-0) scored 35 first-half points on the way to beating Connellsville (4-3, 1-2) in Big Seven Conference play. Garrett Tarker added two touchdown passes to Colton Kotouch for the Tigers.
Armstrong 41, Indiana 7 — Jayden Oliver threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 57 yards and two TDs as Armstrong (5-2, 2-1) beat Indiana (2-5, 0-4) in the Greater Allegheny Conference. Ian Olsen caught 10 passes for 119 yards and a touchdown for Armstrong while teammate Kyan Kline caught five passes for 109 yards and two TDs.
North Catholic 28, Hampton 16 — Jack Fennell ran for 106 yards and all four touchdowns for North Catholic (4-3, 3-1) in its Greater Allegheny Conference win at Hampton (2-5, 2-1). Kaden Sarver added 142 passing yards for the Trojans while Jason Siket caught five passes for 100 yards.
Aliquippa 41, Blackhawk 6 — Top-ranked Aliquippa (6-0, 4-0) downed Blackhawk (0-7, 0-4) in the Parkway Conference.
Chartiers Valley 35, New Castle 14 — Ty Glover caught five passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns as Chartiers Valley (2-5, 2-2) beat New Castle (0-7, 0-4) in the Parkway Conference.
Montour 21, Central Valley 20 — Jake Wolfe threw for 225 yards and a touchdown to Andrew Alston and ran for two TDs to lead No. 5 Montour (6-1, 3-1) to the Parkway Conference win at No. 4 Central Valley (5-2, 3-1). Alston caught seven passes for 129 yards. Jance Henry ran for two touchdowns for Central Valley while teammate Steven Rutherford threw for 118 yards.
West Allegheny 40, Ambridge 0 — Brock Cornell tossed for 65 yards and a touchdown and ran for 118 yards and two TDs as West Allegheny (5-2, 3-1) blanked Ambridge (2-5, 1-3) in the Parkway Conference. Teagan Tomei caught one touchdown pass and returned an interception 38 yards for another score.
Albert Gallatin 19, Laurel Highlands 17 — Cyrus Potkul ran for 101 yards as Albert Gallatin (2-4) beat Laurel Highlands (1-6) in nonconference play.
North Star 34, Uniontown 7 — North Star (6-1) beat Uniontown (2-5) in nonconference play.
Woodland Hills 41, Highlands 10 — Zykir Moore scored on two runs and a blocked punt return as Woodland Hills (5-2) beat Highlands (4-3) in nonconference play. Cam Walter threw for 173 yards and three touchdowns. Menage Lucas scored on a 47-yard run, and Burton Babinsack booted a 26-yard field goal for Highlands.
