WPIAL Class A football roundup: Colin Brady runs for 301 yards, 4 TDs as West Greene outlasts Monessen

Colin Brady ran for 301 yards and four touchdowns to lead West Greene to a 41-32 victory over Monessen in the Class A Tri-County South Conference on Friday night.
Seth Burns and Parker Burns also caught touchdown passes for the Pioneers (5-1, 3-0).
Tim Kershaw scored twice, and Lorenzo Gardner, Rodney Johnson and Damajae Martin added touchdowns for Monessen (1-5, 0-3).
Northgate 20, Shenango 13 — Darrius Fields ran for 150 yards and two touchdowns to lead Northgate (4-2, 2-1) to the Big 7 Conference win against Shenango (3-3, 1-2). Sam Myers threw for 221 yards and two touchdowns for Shenango.
Rochester 42, Laurel 14 — In Big 7 Conference play, Jason Clinton ran for 132 yards and a touchdown as Rochester (4-1, 2-1) defeated Laurel (1-5, 0-2). Amari Curry added two rushing touchdowns in the win.
South Side 56, Summit Academy 7 — Brody Almashy threw for 126 yards and a touchdown, ran for a TD and returned a punt 64 yards for another as No. 2 South Side (6-0, 2-0) beat Summit Academy (0-6, 0-3) in the Big 7 Conference. A.C. Corfield caught two passes for 95 yards and returned a punt 64 yards for a touchdown for South Side, which led at halftime, 42-7.
Avella 32, Carlynton 28 — Isaiah Bradick ran for 116 yards and Cole Jaworski scored three touchdowns as Avella (3-3, 1-2) beat Carlynton (1-5, 0-3) in the Black Hills Conference.
Cornell 14, Burgettstown 13 — Christopher Jackson threw for one touchdown and ran for another as No. 3 Cornell (6-0, 3-0) slipped past Burgettstown (2-4, 1-2) in Black Hills Conference play.
Leechburg 59, Frazier 8 — Tim Andrasy ran six times for 132 yards and two touchdowns to lead Leechburg (4-2, 2-1) to an Eastern Conference win over Frazier (0-6, 0-3). Jayden Floyd threw for 114 yards and a touchdown and ran for 96 yards and a score. Jake Cummings caught five passes for 91 yards and a touchdown and ran for two more scores. Brandon Gilmer and Jaxon Vargo also had rushing touchdowns for the Blue Devils.
Jefferson-Morgan 35, Bentworth 14 — In the Tri-County South, Jefferson-Morgan (3-3, 2-1) beat Bentworth (2-4, 1-2).
Beth-Center 34, Carmichaels 20 — Ethan Varesko ran for three touchdowns as Beth-Center (3-3, 2-1) defeated Carmichaels (2-4, 1-2) in the Tri-County South. A.J. Donaldson ran for two touchdowns for Carmichaels.
California 58, Mapletown 0 — In the Tri-County South, Spencer Petrucci ran for 120 yards and three touchdowns as California (5-1, 3-0) blanked Mapletown (2-4, 0-3). California led at halftime, 46-0.
Union 54, Springdale 7 – No. 5-ranked Union, the defending WPIAL Class A champion, improved to 5-1 overall with a nonconference victory at Springdale (0-1).
