The 2026 WPIAL softball playoff field is all but complete with 75 teams having punched a ticket for the upcoming district playoffs.

The top four teams in each section qualify for the postseason from Class 5A down. In 6A, the top six teams clinch a WPIAL playoff berth.

If there is a tie for the final playoff spot in any section, all of the tied teams advance if they split their head-to-head meetings.

Coverage of the 2026 WPIAL softball playoffs on TribHSSN.TribLive.com starts with the brackets being unveiled during the WPIAL Softball Playoff Pairings Show at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Here is the latest list of teams that earned district playoff berths, along with playoff scenarios through Sunday, with one more possible Class 4A playoff spot up for grabs.
