WPIAL schedules Aliquippa/Lincoln Park doubleheader at New Castle

Lincoln Park and Aliquippa, the WPIAL’s top seeds in Class 3A boys basketball, can’t meet until the finals.

But the Beaver County rivals will share a gym this week. The WPIAL posted sites and times for Thursday’s quarterfinal games, a playoff schedule that includes an Aliquippa/Lincoln Park doubleheader at New Castle.

Second-seeded Aliquippa plays Neshannock at 6:30 p.m., and top-seeded Lincoln Park plays Beaver Falls at 8 p.m.

The WPIAL also posted sites and times for Class 4A girls, Class A boys and Class 2A girls.

Thursday’s schedule

Class 4A girls

1 North Catholic vs. 8 Keystone Oaks at North Allegheny, 6:30 p.m.

5 Elizabeth Forward vs. 13 Quaker Valley at North Hills, 6:30 p.m.

2 Central Valley vs. 7 McKeesport at Moon, 6:30 p.m.

3 Blackhawk vs. 6 Southmoreland at Moon, 8 p.m.

Class 3A boys

1 Lincoln Park vs. 9 Beaver Falls at New Castle, 8 p.m.

4 Seton LaSalle vs. 5 Washington at Canon-McMillan, 8 p.m.

2 Aliquippa vs. 7 Neshannock at New Castle, 6:30 p.m.

Class 2A girls

1 Bishop Canevin vs. 8 Ellis School at West Allegheny, 6:30 p.m.
