Burrell's dominance of WPIAL Class AA wrestling begins at home.

The Bucs' 69-12 victory over Riverview on Wednesday was their 99th consecutive in section competition, a streak that dates to the 2002-03 season.

Since the streak began, Burrell has claimed every section team championship, 12 WPIAL titles — including the last 11 — and one PIAA title. Seven different wrestlers claimed individual state championships.

Rival Valley came the closest to ending Burrell's streak in 2013, but the Bucs edged the Vikings, 36-34. Most of the other wins during the run were blowouts.

Burrell, which can extend its streak to 100 next week at Summit Academy, still has a ways to go to record the longest section streak in Alle-Kiski Valley history: Kiski Area won 119 in a row before its run ended in 2006.
