One top high school basketball player has returned from a concussion and another important player might be returning. West Mifflin senior C.J. Hester, who averages 18 points a game, played in a PIAA Class AAA play-in game Tuesday night and was a key factor in the Titans' 66-36 victory against Bradford. Mount Lebanon and Jeannette entered championship weekend searching for more gold. The Blue Devils won WPIAL AAAA crowns in 2009 and 2010 while the Jayhawks captured AA gold last winter. The Blackhawk Cougars picked up their fifth WPIAL Championship with a 63-49 victory over Section 2 rivals the Ambridge Bridgers on Saturday. Alexa Hayward led the way with 21 points for Cougars, who won their 12th straight game.
