Running for 4,000 career yards isn't as rare as it used to be. Forty-seven players have done it in WPIAL history, and 40 of them have reached the mark since 1990. A pair of top-seeds and a second-seed captured gold on Super Soccer Saturday. Both Seton-LaSalle in Class A and Hampton in Class AA enjoyed dominating victories while it took Peters Township two overtimes to win the Class AAA thriller, the Indians second title in three years. At Elizabeth Forward High School in Boys WPIAL A Soccer finals the Seton-LaSalle Rebels won in dominant fashion over the Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions 3-0. The Planets capped off a perfect run through the WPIAL season with a 2-0 win over Beaver Saturday at Baldwin High School. On the one hand, Hampton (21-1-0) had defeated Mars (14-6-2) twice during the 2010 regular season, and was certainly motivated to avenge a loss in the 2009 WPIAL Championship game. The Final Four field is now set for the 2010 WPIAL Girls Soccer Playoffs with all twelve second round matches in the books. #3 Central Valley was upset in Class AA, #2 Seton-LaSalle was shown the door in Class A while the biggest upset of the night came when #1 Mount Lebanon was eliminated in the Class AAA tournament.2010 WPIAL Boys Soccer Playoffs
