Big things were expected of Sto-Rox this season and the Vikings have lived up to expectations so far. The only WPIAL boys soccer team to make it to the PIAA finals has returned home with a state championship. The Hampton Talbots outlasted District 12 champion Archbishop Wood Friday night to win the schools second boys soccer state crown. A pair of top-seeds and a second-seed captured gold on Super Soccer Saturday. At Elizabeth Forward High School in Boys WPIAL A Soccer finals the Seton-LaSalle Rebels won in dominant fashion over the Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions 3-0. The win is the fourth boys soccer title for the Rebels, with their other championships coming in 2002, 2006 and 2008.Peters Township Finally Golden in WPIAL Girls AAA Soccer
The Peters Township Indians had always been a power as far as WPIAL Girls Soccer was concerned, yet a WPIAL Championship had always eluded them...until Saturday when they blanked the Norwin Knights 3-0 to win the 2010 WPIAL Girls Class AAA soccer championship.
