Penn-Trafford shredded the North Hills defense with a dominating running game and rolled to an impressive victory.

■ McKEESPORT 13, UPPER ST. CLAIR 7
The teams combined for six turnovers, including a pair of fourth-quarter interceptions by McKeesport cornerback David LaRotonda.

■ SENECA VALLEY 15, CENTRAL CATHOLIC 14 @ Fox Chapel
“We didn’t put our heads down when we were down by 14-0,” said Seneca Valley head coach Ron Butschle. “We just started doing what we had to do.”

At halftime, West Allegheny had run 44 plays. Shaler had run just 13.

■ WOODLAND HILLS 14, MARS 0
Woodland Hills’ Anthony Merideth had 150 yards rushing and a touchdown and the defense forced three turnovers.

The Tigers offensive line set the pace to rush for 228 yards and three touchdowns.

North Catholic quarterback Zack Rocco scored on a game-winning, 4-yard touchdown run.

■ CHARLEROI 35, RIVERSIDE 21
Charleroi quarterback Geno Pellegrini finished the night 14 of 23 for 252 yards. He threw a pair of touchdowns and had one interception.

■ MOHAWK 48, SETON LaSALLE 0
Mohawk scored touchdowns on the ground, through the air, on defense, and on special teams, and the defense forced four turnovers.

■ BURGETTSTOWN 33, EAST ALLEGHENY 10
East Allegheny only managed to gain 13 yards on the ground and 120 total yards, and only scored three points on offense.

OLSH’s Austin Wigley ran for 105 yards on 16 carries and three touchdowns.

Franklin Regional quarterback Adam Rudzinski passed for three touchdowns and ran for two more.

A few nasty stiff arms from Indians standout senior running back Tank Smith, and the 15th-seeded Wildcats had no chance.

South Fayette scored on its first offensive play as Andrew Franklin ran untouched up the middle for 84 yards.

Belle Vernon junior Nolan Labuda ran for three touchdowns, threw for a pair, caught another and had an interception on defense.

The Trojans got 174 rushing yards from Justin Flack and 149 from Onreey Stewart to down Central Valley.

■ JEANNETTE 18, MONESSEN 14 @ Hempfield
Led by its fearless freshman quarterback, No. 8 seed Monessen nearly upset No. 1 and defending WPIAL and PIAA champion Jeannette.

Junior running back Kyrie Miller posted his second consecutive 200-yard rushing game.

Derrick Davis rushed for 116 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries, and Jaquan Thomas added 111 yards and two scores on just six rushes.

■ ALIQUIPPA 40, FREEPORT 17 @ Ambridge
Avante McKenzie’s 102 yards and five rushing touchdowns on 17 carries led the No. 1 Quips to a first-round victory.
