One month into the season, the Bethel Park football team was 3-1 and averaging a hefty 38.2 ppg.

The Black Hawks’ only loss was a tough 17-13 decision against Mars.

While the Bethel Park gridders were scoring at a high rate, they were dominant particularly in the first half of games with 97 points, averaging 24.3 points in the first two quarters.

Dennison led in scoring with eight touchdowns for 48 points, followed by Sabatos with five scores (30 points) and senior kicking specialist Xavier Jackson with two field goals and 19 PAT kicks.

On defense, Bethel Park allowed 78 points through four games, or 19.5 ppg.

The leading tacklers consisted of junior FB/LB Jack Johnson (17 stops), Bruckner (16), Smith (16), sophomore TE/DL Nathan Cirincione (15) and senior WR/DB Kahanuola Kuewa (15).

Other leading contributors defensively included Simmons, senior TE/LB Tim Ondo, Dennison, senior OL/DL Bryan McGuire, Nowozeniuk and junior OL/DL Nathan Purcell.
