Aedan Costa scored for Moon (4-1-1, 3-0-1) and Nate Belcufine converted a penalty for South Fayette (3-0-2, 3-0-2) as the Section 2-3A boys soccer rivals played to a 1-1 draw Thursday night.

Allderdice 4, Baldwin 1 – Peter Myrianthopolous, Luca Fuerte and Nadav Gil scored in a Section 2-4A win for Allderdice (1-3, 1-2) over Baldwin (1-5, 0-4). Jacek Piekut notched three assists for the Dragons.

Ambridge 7, Blackhawk 0 – Anthony Powell had a hat trick and Aaron Scheib added a pair of goals as Ambridge (1-5-1, 1-2-1) defeated Blackhawk (0-5, 0-4) in Section 2-3A. Preston Korol and JJ Simms also scored and Carter Catalano recorded the shutout.

Avonworth 2, Hopewell 1 – Rowan Carmichael and Calder Mahan scored to lead Avonworth (4-1-1, 3-1) past Hopwell (2-2, 1-2) in Section 4-2A.

Beaver 10, Ellwood City 0 – Kyle Carlsen scored four goals to pace Beaver (3-1, 3-1) in a Section 4-2A defeat of Ellwood City (0-3, 0-3).

Belle Vernon 9, Brownsville 0 – Trevor Kovatch and Brandon Yeschenko had hat tricks to lead Belle Vernon (5-1, 4-0) past Brownsville (0-6, 0-4) in Section 3-2A. Tyler Bell, Logan Metzger and Landon Bell also scored for the Leopards.

Beth-Center 1, California 0 (OT) – Ryder Roule scored the lone goal of the game in overtime for Beth-Center (3-3, 1-2) in a Section 2-A win over California (1-4, 0-2). Luke Amon kept a spotless net for the Bulldogs.

Bethel Park 4, Albert Gallatin 1 – Devin Palombia, Tommy Bova, Adam Thompson and Ali Yasin scored for Bethel Park (4-1, 4-0) in a Section 3-3A win over Albert Gallatin (2-4, 1-3).

Burrell 6, Riverview 0 – Jayson Ireland had a hat trick, Hayden Herbulock scored twice and Cam Wagner added a goal as Burrell (3-1, 3-1) blanked Riverview (1-2, 1-2) in Section 3-A.

Butler 3, Central Catholic 1 – Cody Lubinsky scored a pair of goals and Mason Anderson added another for Butler (3-2-1, 2-2) in a Section 1-4A victory over Central Catholic (3-2, 2-2).

Central Valley 2, West Allegheny 0 – Cameron DeVincentis scored both goals to lead Central Valley (1-3, 1-3) past West Allegheny (1-6, 1-4) in Section 2-3A.

Charleroi 2, Bentworth 0 – Arlo McIntyre and Dylan Klinger scored and Nathan Mazon recorded the shutout as Charleroi (6-0, 3-0) beat Bentworth (5-1, 2-1) in a battle of top teams in Section 2-A.

Connellsville 6, Uniontown 0 – Carson Colborn had a hat trick, Kasey Stanton added two goals, and William Gillott also scored to lead Connellsville (2-4, 1-3) past Uniontown (2-4, 1-3) in Section 3-3A.

Deer Lakes 10, Derry 0 – Artemy Parshyn had a goal and two assists to lead Deer lakes (5-0, 4-0) past Derry (1-5, 1-3) in Section 2-2A. Peyton Kushon and Collin Rodgers each had a goal and an assist and Wes Boyle recorded the shutout for the Lancers.

Jeannette 4, Freeport 3 – Jordan Taylor netted a pair of goals and Austin Emory and Jared Vincent also scored for Jeannette (2-2, 2-2) in a win over Freeport (1-4, 1-3) in Section 2-2A.

Keystone Oaks 8, South Allegheny 0 – Cy Garcia led Keystone Oaks (3-2, 3-1) with two goals while Rocky Bobak, Sam Koehler, Ayden Worstell, Jacob Loper, Makram Ishaq and Roshan Shrestha also scored as the Golden Eagles blanked South Allegheny (1-5-1, 0-4) in Section 1-2A. Caleb Wolfe had the shutout for Keystone Oaks.

Knoch 5, Greensburg Salem 0 – Mason Nebel scored a hat trick and Anthony Lejevic and Sam Caldwell each added a tally to lead Knoch (3-3, 3-1) to a shutout of Greensburg Salem (3-2, 2-2) in Section 2-2A.

Montour 4, Chartiers Valley 1 – Parker Brennan scored two goals, Jaxon Camp had a goal and an assist, and Brayden Boris also scored to lead Montour (4-0, 4-0) past Chartiers Valley (2-4, 2-2) in Section 2-3A. Andrew Prunier had a pair of assists.

Mt. Lebanon 9, Hempfield 0 – Evan Gingo and Benjamin Bowen scored two goals apiece to pace Mt. Lebanon (2-3-1, 2-1-1) in a Section 2-4A win over Hempfield (0-4, 0-3).

Mt. Pleasant 7, Southmoreland 0 – Luke Rivardo had a hat trick and Austin Ulery scored twice as Mt. Pleasant (4-0, 4-0) took care of Southmoreland (1-5, 0-4) in Section 3-2A. Aiden Johnson had a goal and an assist, Jarett Garn also scored, and Jacob McGuinness picked up the shutout.

Norwin 3, Peters Township 1 – Alex Brown and Ryan Schoemer each had a goal and an assist and Daniel Maddock also scored to lead Norwin (5-1, 4-0) to a Section 2-4A victory. Alex Parise scored for Peters Township (3-2, 2-2).

Penn-Trafford 2, Penn Hills 0 – Chad Pusateri and Ben Luchs each scored a goal as Penn-Trafford (1-4-1, 1-2-1) got its first win of the season by defeating Penn Hills (1-3, 1-3) in Section 4-3A.

Plum 2, Latrobe 1 – Travis Kodman scored his second goal of the game with 35 seconds to go to lift Plum (4-1, 3-0) past Latrobe (3-1, 3-1) in a Section 4-3A showdown.

Ringgold 4, Laurel Highlands 1 – Owen Haywood scored twice, Kaden Kuzawinski had a goal and an assist, and Aidan Weaver added a goal to lead Ringgold (5-0, 4-0) past Laurel Highlands (2-4, 0-4) in Section 3-3A.

Seneca Valley 1, Pine-Richland 0 – Tyler Prex scored the winning goal with 12 minutes left in the first half, leading Seneca Valley (6-0, 4-0) past Pine-Richland (1-5, 0-4) in Section 1-4A.

Serra Catholic 2, Carlynton 1 – Collin Holmes scored both goals for the Eagles as Serra Catholic (3-1, 2-0) beat Carlynton (3-2, 1-1) in a Section 4-1A showdown. Wilson Choate scored the only goal for the Cougars.

Seton LaSalle 7, Brentwood 0 – Jack Billick scored five goals and Tyler Kovalcik and Seamus McDonough each tallied a goal while Nick Cherry recorded the shutout for Seton LaSalle (2-0-1, 2-0) in a Section 4-A win against Brentwood (0-3, 0-2).

Springdale 1, Winchester Thurston 0 – Mason Gent scored the decisive goal, set up by Billy Lawrence, and Noah Skaugen recorded the shutout as Springdale (4-0, 4-0) defeated Winchester Thurston (2-1-2, 1-1) in a matchup of Section 3-A contenders.

Upper St. Clair 3, Canon-McMillan 1 – Joe Donnelly scored a hat trick and coach Uwe Schneider recorded his 300th career win as Upper St. Clair (6-0, 3-0) beat Canon-McMillan (1-3-1, 1-2-1) in Section 2-4A.

Yough 2, McGuffey 1 – Noah Jurcevich scored a pair of goals to power Yough (3-2-1, 2-2) past McGuffey (5-1, 3-1) in Section 3-2A. Isaac Pacacha had an assist for the Cougars.

Girls soccer

Eden Christian 2, Riverside 0 – Violet McKinney had a pair of goals to help Eden Christian (3-0, 3-0) earn a Section 3-A win over Riverside (1-2, 1-2).

Franklin Regional 2, Blackhawk 1 – Abby Paterline scored both goals, including the overtime winner, to lead Franklin Regional (4-1) past Blackhawk (2-3) in a nonsection match. Natalie Keough assisted the first Panthers goal and Shaeley Reichbaum set up the second. Ella Martin scored for the Cougars.

Greensburg Salem 8, Ligonier Valley 0 – Lauren Galvin had a hat trick to lead Greensburg Salem (2-3-1) to a nonsection win over Ligonier Valley (0-3). Madison Carr added two goals and Olivia Smith, Avah Yackovich and Brianna Carr also scored.

Hampton 1, Knoch 0 – Olivia Hoffman scored the game’s only goal as Hampton (4-1) defeated Knoch (2-2) in a nonsection match.

Mars 4, Oakland Catholic 0 – Lily Wolf had two goals, Meredith Asbaugh added a goal and an assist and Addi Girdwood also scored for Mars (4-0, 3-0) in a Section 1-3A win oer Oakland Catholic (1-3, 1-1). Kate McEnroe and Lily Goodworth combined on the shutout.

Riverview 6, Carlynton 0 – Lola Abraham had a pair of goals and assists for Riverview (3-1) in a nonsection win over Carlynton (1-3). Lyla Flanick, Hannah Hudack, Mary Quinlan and Cailey Trosch added a goal each for the Raiders.

Seneca Valley 7, Norwin 0 – Ayla Ward led Seneca Valley (3-0) with two goals while Addison Shank, Ashlee Libby, Lexi Shattahi, Megan Marley and Cassie Leonard also scored as the Raiders defeated Norwin (1-4) in a nonsection tilt.

Field hockey

Upper St. Clair 2, Ellis School 0 – Maria Pavinich and Mia Marino scored to lead Upper St. Clair to a nonsection win. Janelle Knierim added an assist.

Girls volleyball

Beaver 3, Shenango 0 – Chloe List and Kailyn Connelly each had 12 kills, Aubrey Bumblis had 10 digs and Zoe Ringer had 33 assists for Beaver in a sweep of Shenango in Section 1-2A.

Brownsville 3, Charleroi 2 – Skyler Gates had 15 kills and Caylee Balabon recorded nine kills and six digs to lead Brownsville to a Section 3-2A win. Cassidee Settles racked up five kills, nine digs and three aces, and Mackenzie Wade dished out 25 assists.

California 3, Mapletown 2 – Azzy Colditz filled the stat sheet with 10 assists, four aces, four kills, three digs and two blocks to lead California to a Section 2-A win. Raegan Gillen had eight kills and Nine Conte added seven. Ava Bojtos had 10 assists and Rakiyah Porter added 10 digs. Miranda Fox had five kills, Devan Clark 26 digs and Bailey Rafferty 13 assists for Mapletown.

Canon-McMillan 3, Pine-Richland 0 – Abby Tucker had 14 kills, Natalie Carr added 13 kills and 18 digs and Josie Carter had 21 assists to lead Canon-McMillan to a nonsection win over Pine-Richland. Olivia Gross added 17 assists and Julia Murdy had 18 digs for the Big Macs.

Derry 3, Ligonier Valley 1 – Emily Berkhimer had 13 kills, Katie Dunlap had 16 digs and Regan Repak tossed in 34 assists as Derry won in Section 5-2A. Rylee Monticue had nine assists, six kills and a block for Ligonier Valley.

Franklin Regional 3, Highlands 0 – Natalia Aguilera had eight kills as Franklin Regional swept Highlands in a Section 5-3A match.

Knoch 3, Lincoln Park 0 – Karlee Buterbaugh had six kills and nine service points and Cece Kosecki had a team-high 18 service points to lead Knoch to a Section 4-3A win. Jess Farbacher and Olivia Crocker had five kills and Sierra Mock added four.

Laurel Highlands 3, Connellsville 0 – Ally Mattey had 11 kills and 12 digs, Sara Reed added five kills, 18 assists and six digs, and Jayna Fabreyhad two kills, eight aces and 10 digs to lead Laurel Highlands to a Section 3-3A victory.

New Brighton 3, Freedom 2 – Chloe Rizer had 10 digs, Jenna Alaksin had eight kills and nine aces and Sundi Fazio had 48 assists as New Brighton came back from two sets down to defeat Freedom in Section 4-2A.
