Latrobe scored twice in the top of the seventh, and Kiley Myers set Central Dauphin down in the bottom of the inning to give the Wildcats a 4-2 win over District 3 champion Central Dauphin in a PIAA Class 6A first-round softball game Monday at Millersville University.

The Wildcats advance to the quarterfinals against District 1 runner-up Nazareth on Thursday at a time and site to be determined.

Latrobe took 2-0 lead in the fourth on Jordan Tallman's two-run single off the glove of second baseman Bella Culp, driving in Makayla Munchinski, who singled, and Becca Tatone, who reached on an error by shortstop Erin Delpierre.

Myers retired the first 11 batters before Tyler White doubled with two outs in the fourth.

The Rams tied the game in the bottom of the sixth, but Latrobe answered in the seventh.

Tallman led off with a single, Myers walked and Tallman and courtesy runner Julia DiOrio advanced on Natalie Rogers' sacrifice. After a fielder's choice, DiOrio scored on a wild pitch, and Karly Kovatch hit an RBI single to make it 4-2.
