Norwin wrestling coach on ballot to become Hempfield School Board member

It was a big week for Norwin wrestling coach Vince DeAugustine.

On Tuesday, he was voted onto the November ballot in both parties (Republican and Democrat) for a possible seat on the Hempfield Area School District’s school board during Tuesday’s elections.

And on Monday be became a father when his fiancée, Chelcea Scott, gave birth to a baby girl, Gia Nichole DeAugustine. Gia Nichole weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces.

DeAugustine is a Hempfield graduate and former Spartans wrestling coach.

He left last year to coach at Norwin.
