2010 Season Ends for Washington Wild Things With Another Loss
Brandon Howard's two-run, eighth-inning double off Eryk McConnell was the difference tonight as the Washington Wild Things fell to the Traverse City Beach Bums 4-3 in their season finale. For the first time all series, the teams experienced good weather, having battled wind and rain in the previous two games at Wuerfel Park.

West A’s Mike Caputo Suffers Major Injury in Opening Victory
The 2010 high school football season was not even a quarter old when the defending WPIAL Class AAA champions suffered a bad break. 2009 MSA Sports co-player of the year and Wisconsin recruit Mike Caputo of West Allegheny suffered a dislocated left ankle while making a tackle late in the opening quarter of what would be a 41-0 victory for the Indians over the South Park Eagles.

District College Recap for Thursday, September 2nd
It was prime-time Thursday under the lights for three PSAC schools last night. Here are recaps from those games. Slippery Rock 45 Merrimack 26 It was the Akeem Satterfield show at N. Kerr Thompson Stadium as the redshirt sophomore from Erie ran for a career-high 240 yards and four touchdowns as the Rock picked up it's first win of the season.

CTK 2010 – PITTSBURGH CITY LEAGUE Preview
Over the past five seasons, four different teams have won Pittsburgh City League championships (Brashear won twice). Look for the balance of power to continue this season. It doesn't seem like there is a prohibitive favorite to win the City League this year. Schenley captured the title a year ago.

CTK 2010 – WPIAL A BIG SEVEN Conference Preview
Two of the four playoff teams from the WPIAL Class A Big Seven Conference in 2009 are no longer in the conference, with Monaca ending their program and Laurel moving up to the Class AA Midwestern Conference. The conference will be wide open for playoff spots, but one thing remains the same, Rochester is always a favorite to head to the playoffs and Heinz Field.
