The WPIAL Board of Control Tuesday approved the new basketball alignments for both the boys and girls for the 2012-13 and 2013-14 high school winter sports seasons. The drought is now five years since a WPIAL girls volleyball team has captured a PIAA championship...and Counting. Pine-Richland, Seneca Valley and West Allegheny made it through Friday's Quarterfinals pool-play, but all three fell in the Final Four Saturday morning.
