Two WPIAL teams have broken the state baseball title drought. After two years of nothing but silver both Riverside and Serra Catholic were golden in the PIAA finals. The Riverside Panthers got another big hit from Ryan Finnegan to claim their third PIAA title with a 5-2 win over the Salisbury Township Falconsin the Class AA title game at Medlar Field. The Serra Catholic Eagles claimed their first PIAA baseball championship by defeating the Reading Central Catholic Cardinals 4-0 at Medlar Park on Friday afternoon. The Seneca Valley Raiders won their first ever WPIAL Quad-A baseball title in a rout, defeating number one seed Peters Township 15-4 on Tuesday night at Consol Energy Park.
