Maria Depner scored 24 points and Jaedin Griggs added 16 as Moon mounted a fourth-quarter comeback to claim a 66-53 victory and hand Lincoln Park its first loss of the season in Section 4-5A girls basketball Thursday night.

Lincoln Park (18-1, 7-1) led by 12 points after three quarters. The Tigers (13-7, 3-5) outscored the Leopards 33-8 in the fourth.

Apollo-Ridge 45, Deer Lakes 34 – Sophia Yard scored 35 points to lead Apollo-Ridge (8-11, 4-4) to a Section 3-3A win. Sophia Laurenza scored eight points for Deer Lakes (4-15, 0-8).

Avella 40, Jefferson-Morgan 39 – Ava Frank scored 14 points for Avella (4-15, 2-6) in a Section 2-A win. Kayla Larkin scored 18 points for Jefferson-Morgan (3-16, 1-7).

Avonworth 65, Keystone Oaks 34 – Rebecca Goetz led Avonworth (16-1, 8-0) with 21 points, Greta O’Brien followed with 19 and Emma Obersteiner added nine on a trio of 3-pointers in a Section 2-3A win. Bailey Rieg scored 18 points for Keystone Oaks (13-5, 4-4).

Beaver Falls 61, Laurel 31 – Taylor Pullen led all scorers with 20 points to help Beaver Falls (13-4, 7-1) past Laurel (4-15, 1-7) in Section 1-3A. Dreavon Haskins and Avina Norman each scored 17 points for the Tigers.

Bishop Canevin 37, Eden Christian 23 – Julianna Umalin led all scorers with 12 points as Bishop Canevin (5-12-, 1-4) beat Eden Christian (8-11, 1-4) in Section 1-A. Alex Nacey scored seven points for the Warriors.

Blackhawk 73, Ambridge 13 – Andrea Kinger scored 12 points while Alena Fusetti and Mia Sheesley each added 10 for Blackhawk (17-2, 8-0) in a Section 2-4A win over Ambridge (2-16, 0-7).

Brentwood 35, Carlynton 15 – Paige Boehm scored 14 points to lead Brentwood (9-11, 5-3) to a Section 2-2A win. Cydney McClendon scored eight points for Carlynton (5-13, 1-7).

Brownsville 44, McGuffey 36 – Skylar Gates scored 20 points and Zariah Reed added 10 to push Brownsville (11-8, 4-4) to a Section 4-3A win. Madison Gaso led McGuffey (13-6, 3-5) with 19 points.

Burrell 59, Ligonier Valley 28 – Led by 15 points from McKenna Miller, 14 from Jules Fisher and 13 from Casey Brancato, Burrell (14-4, 6-2) picked up a Section 3-3A win. Anna Clark added nine points and 10 rebounds for the Bucs. Marlee Miller led Ligonier Valley (5-14, 2-6) with 18 points.

California 52, Bentworth 31 – Rakiyah Porter led California (9-10, 6-4) with 20 points and Hayley Gibson added 18 in a Section 4-2A win. Amber Sallee scored 13 points and Aubrie Logan had 11 for Bentworth (4-16, 1-10).

Central Valley 51, Beaver 50 (OT) – Dominique Douglas led all scorers with 15 points and Nyah Hayes followed with 14 to lead Central Valley (7-10, 4-4) past Beaver (6-11, 3-4) in Section 2-4A. Annsley Baker scored 12 points and Bridget Mayo added 11 for the Bobcats.

Chartiers-Houston 73, Frazier 20 – Amelia Brose dropped 20 points, Ava Capozzoli hit for 18 and Allison Wingard chipped in with 14 as Chartiers-Houston (15-5, 10-1) cruised to a Section 4-2A win. Malana Burton had eight for Frazier (5-14, 2-8).

Ellis School 58, Steel Valley 29 – Kallie Kristian led Ellis School (7-12, 2-8) with 24 points, Taelor Spencer had 11 and Angelina Jones added 10 in a Section 3-2A win. Michayla Roger scored eight points for Steel Valley (0-19, 0-11).

Geibel 43, Mapletown 27 – Emma Larkin dropped 21 points and Ava Henderson sank five 3-pointers and finished with 19 points for Geibel (13-6, 6-2) in Section 2-A. Helena Cumpston scored eight points to lead Mapletown (6-11, 3-5).

Highlands 64, Derry 24 – Kalleigh Nerone netted 13 points while Shelby Wolicki and Kate Myers each scored 12 and Jocelyn Bielak added 10 as Highlands (13-6, 8-2) won in Section 1-4A. Jane Huss led Derry (5-14, 2-9) with nine points.

Indiana 57, Franklin Regional 51 – Bella Antonucci led Indiana (14-5, 9-1) with 27 points and Julia Antonucci added 17 in a Section 1-5A win. Addison Musto scored 16 points for Franklin Regional (6-14, 5-6).

Karns City 42, Aquinas Academy 37 – Savanna Prescott led Karns City with 17 points in a nonsection win. Emily Fisher and Ellie Junker each scored nine points for Aquinas Academy (15-4).

Knoch 43, Greensburg Salem 33 – Neah Ewing scored 15 points and Karlee Buterbaugh added 10 to lead Knoch (11-8, 6-4) to a Section 1-4A win. Kaitlyn Mankins scored 12 points and Ashlan Price had 11 for Greensburg Salem (14-6, 6-4).

Latrobe 60, Albert Gallatin 41 – Elle Snyder scored 21 points and Belle Blossey added 12 to lead Latrobe (10-10, 5-5) to a Section 3-5A win. Mya Glisan scored 17 points for Albert Gallatin (4-15, 1-10).

Laurel Highlands 52, Belle Vernon 35 – Arianna Sumpter scored 16 points and Miya Harris tallied 13 as Laurel Highlands (16-2, 8-2) defeated Belle Vernon (10-11, 6-5) in Section 3-4A. Kenzi Seliga made five 3-pointers, good for 15 points for the Leopards.

Leechburg 52, Hillel Academy 21 – Adalyn Zanotto scored 23 points and Grace Richards had nine to lead Leechburg (8-7, 3-3) to a Section 3-A win. Sima Reinherz scored seven points for Hillel Academy (0-10, 0-7).

Mars 41, Shaler 38 – Vita Vargo scored 17 points and Cecilia Christy added 10 as Mars (9-9, 5-4) prevailed over Shaler (6-14, 3-7) in Section 2-5A. Bayleigh Perez led all scorers with 19 points for the Titans.

McKeesport 61, Thomas Jefferson 37 – Rachael Manfredo netted 15 points and Brooke Evans scored 12 to lead McKeesport (16-2, 8-1) to a Section 3-5A win. Laekyn Flinn led Thomas Jefferson (7-12, 4-6) with 17 points and Riley McCabe finished with 14.

Mohawk 56, Ellwood City 50 – Erynne Capalbo scored 18 points and Kiera Julian followed with 17 to lead Mohawk (11-8, 4-4) to a Section 1-3A win. Kayla Jones and Claire Noble each scored 16 points for Ellwood City (13-7, 5-3).

Monessen 45, West Greene 39 – Sidney Campbell and Hailey Johnson each scored 13 points to lead Monessen (14-3, 8-0) past West Greene (7-12, 4-4) in Section 2-A. Kendra Tharp led the Pioneers with 12.

Neshannock 60, Riverside 20 – Kaitlyn Fries led Neshannock (14-5, 7-1) with 15 points in a Section 1-3A win. Gigi Finch scored eight points for Riverside (4-13, 0-8).

North Catholic 65, Valley 11 – Lyndsay Luff put up 20 points, Lauren Reitz added 14 and Brady Wehner finished with 10 as North Catholic (13-5, 11-0) cruised to a Section 1-4A win. Ryleigh Kasten led Valley (0-18, 0-10) with seven points.

North Hills 56, New Castle 22 – Olivia Waters scored 16 points, Gia Minton added 14 and Gie Sturdivant contributed 11 for North Hills (11-8, 8-2) in a Section 2-5A win. Raegan Hudson led New Castle (2-18, 0-11) with 10 points.

Oakland Catholic 67, Penn-Trafford 30 – London Creach scored 21 points and Alayla Bivins added 10 to lead Oakland Catholic (20-0, 11-0) to a Section 3-5A win. Olivia Pepple led Penn-Trafford (13-6, 6-4) with 12 points.

OLSH 78, East Allegheny 11 – Presley Holmes led all scorers with 14 points while Claudia Ierullo, Gianna Marino and McKinley Walsh scored 10 points apiece as OLSH (13-7, 4-4) defeated East Allegheny (0-19, 0-8) in Section 2-3A. Ivy Barnett had all 11 points for the Wildcats.

Peters Township 57, Mt. Lebanon 42 – Natalie Wetzel scored her 1,000th career point and finished with 23 for the game as Peters Township (19-0, 10-0) beat Mt. Lebanon (10-10, 6-5) in Section 2-6A. Gemma Walker added 12 for Peters. Payton Collins finished with 15 points for the Blue Devils.

Pine-Richland 54, Seneca Valley 44 – Madison Zavasky scored 17 points and Maren Iski and Zoe Cook added 10 points apiece to lead Pine-Richland (6-11, 4-4) to a Section 1-6A win. Natalie Hambly led Seneca Valley (12-7, 4-4) with 18 points and Gracie Cato had 10.

Propel Braddock Hills 30, Carrick 25 – Kayla Knight scored 12 points to lead Propel Braddock Hills. Kaliyah Hairston scored 16 to lead all scorers for Carrick.

Quaker Valley 46, Hopewell 33 – Mimi Thiero scored 16 points and Madison Chapman added 13 to lead Quaker Valley (4-13, 4-3) to a Section 2-4A win. Aylee Sunday scored 17 points for Hopewell (9-9, 4-4).

Serra Catholic 72, Clairton 53 – Abby Genes scored 22 points, Cate Clarke had 18 and Bri Battles added 11 to lead Serra Catholic (15-4, 8-2) to a Section 3-2A win. Iyanna Wade led Clairton (15-3, 7-3) with 35 points.

Seton LaSalle 62, South Allegheny 26 – Mallory Daly racked up 35 points and Tiara Curry finished with nine as Seton LaSalle (12-6, 6-2) rolled to a Section 2-3A victory. Paige Dodds had eight points to lead South Allegheny (5-13, 2-6).

Sewickley Academy 52, New Brighton 6 – Libby Eannarino scored 25 points and Emma Eannarino had 15 for Sewickley Academy (6-11, 3-7) in a Section 1-2A win over New Brighton (0-17, 0-10).

South Fayette 45, Montour 33 – Erica Hall scored 15 points and Haylie Lamonde added 10 to lead South Fayette (11-7, 5-3) to a Section 4-5A win. Jordyn Wolfe led Montour (8-10, 3-5) with 17 points.

South Park 61, Charleroi 30 – Ella Clifford scored 15 points, Brooke Paylo followed with 12 and Nika Contakos had 10 for South Park (13-6, 7-1) in Section 4-3A. Bella Carroto, Ella Sypolt and Riley Jones each scored seven points for Charleroi (8-10, 1-7).

Trinity 44, West Allegheny 37 – Ruby Morgan scored 22 points to power Trinity (14-5, 6-2) to a Section 4-5A victory. Alexis Santucci scored 21 to lead West Allegheny (6-12, 0-8).

Trinity Christian 38, Cheswick Christian 28 – Elena Myers racked up 20 points to lead Trinity Christian (5-6). Abby Louis scored nine points for Cheswick Christian (5-6).

Uniontown 61, Ringgold 41 – Led by 16 points from A’kira Dade, 15 from Geelece Ingram and 11 from Emily Myers, Uniontown (7-13, 3-8) picked up a Section 3-4A win. Jada Gernot scored 14 and Rihanna Fordham added 10 for Ringgold (3-16, 0-10).

Upper St. Clair 53, Chartiers Valley 47 – Meredith Huzjak scored 20 points and Ryan Prunzik produced 14 as Upper St. Clair (11-9, 5-5) edged out Chartiers Valley (14-4, 7-3) in Section 2-6A. Lilah Turnbull dropped 20 points and Ava Shazer added 11 for the Colts.

Waynesburg 49, Yough 19 – Avery Davis scored 15 points for Waynesburg (18-1, 8-0) in a Section 4-3A victory. Autumn Matthews had 10 points to lead Yough (8-10, 1-6).

Woodland Hills 53, Kiski Area 37 – Hope Hawkins scored 19 points to lead Woodland Hills (8-9, 6-4) to a Section 1-5A victory. Carmen Vazquez added 15 and Jhalynn Wilson chipped in 10 for the Wolverines. Abbie Johns scored 15 and Gianna Devito finished with 13 for Kiski Area (6-13, 2-8).

Boys basketball

Cheswick Christian Academy 72, Trinity Christian 54 – Joseph Rosio scored a career-high 30 points, hitting seven 3-pointers, to lead Cheswick Christian (13-3) to a Southwestern Christian Athletic Conference win. Grant Rochkind added 19 and Sean Louis scored 10. Will Nelson led Trinity Christian with 17 points. David Blackburn had 14 and Darnell Kyte 13.

Neighborhood Academy 63, Hillel Academy 34 – Courtney Wallace (21 points, 10 rebounds) and Shamar Simpson (12 points, 12 rebounds) had double-doubles and Kedron Gilmore added 16 points to lead Neighborhood Academy (14-4, 6-1) to a Section 3-A win over Hillel Academy (7-7, 2-6).

Wrestling

Seneca Valley 44, Mt. Lebanon 22 – Brody Pirt (160) won by major decision and Brooks Beres (172), Corey Wolfe (189) and Thomas Wuycheck (215) recorded pins as Seneca Valley (8-6) took four straight bouts to take control in a nonsection win. Zachary Hill (133), Cole Corrigan (114) and Connor Smith (121) also had pins and John Tofanelli (127) won by major decision for the Raiders. Mt. Lebanon (2-6) got pins from Franco Busalacchi (139) and Jonathan Emma (107), a major decision from Cole Gibbons (145) and decisions from Joseph Gamble (152) and Benjamin Lloyd (285).

Hockey

Beaver 8, Westmont Hilltop 0 – Carson Cuddy scored a hat trick and Evan Schmidt tallied a pair of goals as Beaver (9-7-2) shut out Westmont Hilltop (0-18) in Class A. Gabe Forney, Zack Masters and Tanner Nicol each scored a goal while Caleb Berardelli stopped all 19 shots he faced for the Bobcats.

Bishop Canevin 2, Deer Lakes 1 (OT) – Mason Glover scored a minute into overtime to propel Bishop Canevin (16-0) to a Division 2 win. Brian Kalanish had a goal and an assist for the Crusaders and Ayden Worstell made 21 saves in net. Giovanni Porco had a goal for Deer Lakes (8-6-1) and Aaron Haney stopped 20 shots.

Blackhawk 4, Wheeling Catholic 0 – Finn Conlon, Bryce Leiper and Owen Keister each had a goal and an assist, Dylan Leiper also scored and Evan Kennelly made 23 saves for Blackhawk (12-2-1) in a Class A win. Ashton Glover made 45 saves for Wheeling Catholic (6-9-1).

Central Catholic 6, Baldwin 2 – Aaron Daley scored twice, Griffin Lewis and Evan Benscoter each had a goal and an assist, and Josh Moline dished out three assists to power Central Catholic (8-8) to a Class 3A win. Tanner Plinta had a goal and an assist for Baldwin (1-13-2).

Chartiers Valley 6, Richland 0 – Noah Callender scored twice, Dayton Yanko had a goal and an assist and Matthew Colberg made 10 saves to lead Chartiers Valley (16-0) past Richland (5-11-1) in Class A.

Elizabeth Forward 8, Morgantown 3 – Bobby Boord Jr. scored four goals and Doug Hoffman added a pair for Elizabeth Forward (8-6) in a Varsity D2 win. Joey Wach and Josh Hill each scored a goal for the Warriors. Geno Valenti, Justin Daffner and Cooper Cox scored for Morgantown (10-6).

Greensburg Salem 5, North Catholic 4 (OT) – Kason Tai scored the winning goal in the first minute of overtime to lead Greensburg Salem (10-5-2) to a Class A win. Chase Kushner had a goal and two assists and Hunter Webb added a goal and an assist for Greensburg Salem. Ryan Berry had a goal and an assist for North Catholic (12-4-2).

Hempfield 5, Fox Chapel 3 – JJ Williams had two goals and an assist and Guerin Gardner and Max Short added a goal and an assist each to lead Hempfield (7-8-1) to a comeback win in Class 2A. Gardner, Williams and Short scored three unanswered goals in the third period. Tucker Cullen, Killians Kissane and Dom Casile scored for Fox Chapel (9-7-1).

Latrobe 4, Bishop McCort 3 – Bryant Dumnich scored the game winner with seven seconds left to lift Latrobe (13-5) past Bishop McCort (5-10-1) in Class 2A. Jacob Hannah scored twice and Louie Amatucci added another goal for the Icecats. Nikita Kolomejtsev, Sammy Treagar and Timur Naletov scored for the Crushers.

Neshannock 7, Central Valley 5 – Nick Bucci had two goals and two assists and Micah Dejulia collected a goal and four assists to lead Neshannock (13-2-1) to a Varsity D2 win. Giovanni Valentine had a goal and two assists and Brian McConahy added a goal and an assist. Gavin Crivelli had two goals and two assists for Central Valley (8-8).

Ringgold 4, Connellsville 3 (OT) – Phil Quattrone, Bruce Santina, and Brady Lippert scored in regulation and Ringgold (9-4-1) went on to win in a shootout in a Varisty D2 game. Ian Zerecheck, Braden Rogerson and Nolan Wojnar had a goal each for Connellsville (6-8-1).

Seneca Valley 5, Cathedral Prep 3 – Andrew Malichky had a hat trick and Jacob Komaniak and CJ Gworek also scored for Seneca Valley (14-3) in a Class 3A win. Rylan Sorge, Vinny Scalise and Brayden McGarry scored for Cathedral Prep (6-10-1).

South Fayette 4, Penn-Trafford 1 – Tyler Brandebura had a goal and two assists and Nolan Murphy added a goal and an assist for South Fayette (13-1-2) in a Class 2A win. Trevor Dalessandro and Jackson Brandebura also scored for South Fayette. Bryce Kropczynski scored for Penn-Trafford (6-7-3).

Upper St. Clair 4, North Allegheny 2 – Eli Rankin scored twice, Dylan Yealy had a goal and an assist and Luke Fisher also scored for Upper St. Clair (8-4-3) in a Class 3A victory. Luke Walkauskas and Evan Kerber scored for North Allegheny (10-4-2).
