It took two overtime periods, but Penn Hills maintained its winning streak.

Marshall McArthur scored 17 points as the Class 5A No. 4 Indians defeated Fox Chapel, 60-59, in a nonsection boys basketball game Friday night.

It was the sixth straight win for Penn Hills (12-2).

Arnold Vento had 26 points to pace Fox Chapel (9-5), which used a 17-11 fourth-quarter run to force overtime.

Montour 74, West Mifflin 39 — Jaden Nelson’s 22 points paced Montour (8-7, 5-3) in a Section 2-5A victory.

Mars 88, Indiana 44 — Khori Fusco and Andrew Recchia each scored 23 points as No. 1 Mars (13-1, 7-0) rolled to a Section 3-5A win. Michael Carmody had 14 points and 24 rebounds in the win.

Blackhawk 48, Central Valley 43 — Ryan Heckathorn had 14 points, and Sammy Fusetti added 13 to lift Blackhawk (5-9, 3-4) to a Section 2-4A victory.

New Castle 74, Hopewell 45 — Demetris McKnight had 16 points, and Shledon Cox added 14 as No. 2 New Castle (11-3, 5-1) won in Section 2-4A.

South Park 58, East Allegheny 49 — In Section 3-4A, Hunter Lindsay had 24 points, and Santino Tutich and Aidan Rongaus each had 13 as South Park (6-8, 3-2) earned a win.

Uniontown 75, Connellsville 53 — Billy Deshields had 25 points as No. 4 Uniontown (10-3, 5-0) won in Section 3-4A.

Aliquippa 90, Ellwood City 29 — Eli Kosanovich had 17 points, and William Gipson added 16 as No. 2 Aliquippa (10-4, 6-1) won in Section 1-3A.

Beaver Falls 71, New Brighton 53 — Jalen Vaughn had 30 points to lift Beaver Falls (6-8, 4-3) to a Section 1-3A win.

Lincoln Park 72, Riverside 42 — Keeno Holmes had 16 points, and Casey Oliver and Tanner Mathos each had 14 as No. 1 Lincoln Park (12-1, 7-0) rolled to a Section 1-3A win.

Seton LaSalle 57, Avonworth 40 — Dylan Preston had 14 points, and Michael Bigley scored 12 as No. 3 Seton LaSalle (12-1, 7-0) won a Section 2-3A game.

Beth-Center 56, Frazier 53 — Andrew Bower had 30 points, and Joseph Green added 19 as Beth-Center (6-8, 2-5) won in Section 4-3A.

Washington 52, Charleroi 51 — Dan Ethridge had 13 points, and Brandon Patterson added 12 as Washington (7-6, 6-1) won a Section 4-3A game.

Serra Catholic 102, Bentworth 24 — Jimmy Moon had 36 points and 12 rebounds as No. 3 Serra Catholic (11-2, 7-0) won in Section 2-2A.

OLSH 79, Shenango 68 — Daren DiMichele had 25 points, and Jake DiMichele added 19 as No. 2 OLSH (13-1, 7-0) claimed a win in Section 3-2A.

Sewickley Academy 92, Mohawk 37 — No. 1 Sewickley Academy had five players in double figures in a Section 3-2A win. Don Belt had 22 points, Nate Ridgeway scored 21, and Isiah Warfield scored 19 for the Panthers (8-4, 6-1).

South Side Beaver 63, Laurel 56 — Logan English had 28 points as No. 4 South Side Beaver (11-4, 5-2) won in Section 3-2A.

Mapletown 53, Jefferson-Morgan 49 — Ryan Tuttle had 16 points, and Chuck Lash added 15 as Mapletown (1-14, 1-6) won a Section 2-A game and snapped a 79-game losing streak.

Greensburg Salem 69, Albert Gallatin 65 — Dante Parsons scored 23 points to lead Greensburg Salem to a Section 1-5A win.

Jack Oberdorf had 14 points, and Ryan Thomas added 10 for the Golden Lions (8-6, 3-4), who have won three straight games.

Thomas and Shamar McCoy controlled the glass in the final minutes to preserve the win.

Nate English had 19 points to lead Albert Gallatin (2-11, 2-5), which led 30-26 at halftime.

Brentwood 53, Jeannette 50 — The Jayhawks (8-7, 4-3) lost their third straight game in a Section 2-2A defeat at Brentwood (7-7, 3-4).

AJ Sharp had 20 points for Jeannette. Zach Keib scored 26 for Brentwood.

Peters Township 47, Hempfield 33 — Dax Ploskina had 13 points to lift Peters Township (10-4) to a nonsection victory over visiting Hempfield. The Spartans (7-8) trailed 27-15 at halftime.

Baldwin 70, Penn-Trafford 59 — Troy Lanier had 14 points, and Christian Barr added 12 as Baldwin (6-8) won a nonsection matchup.

Kevin Stinelli had 21 points for Penn-Trafford (8-6), which trailed 32-20 at halftime.

Southmoreland 56, Elizabeth Forward 38 — Cade Richter had 25 points, and Riley Comforti added 23 as Southmoreland (9-6) won a nonsection game. The Scotties closed the game on a 23-4 run.

Apollo-Ridge 67, Sto-Rox 60 — Keighton Reese hit seven of Apollo-Ridge’s 11 3-pointers and finished with a game-best 34 points, while Klay Fitzroy converted 8 of 10 free throws and scored 10 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter as Apollo-Ridge won in Section 1-2A.

Fello had the other four 3-pointers and scored 17 points. Apollo-Ridge (8-8, 4-4) outscored Sto-Rox (8-6, 6-2), 23-16, in the fourth after the game was tied through three quarters.

Apollo-Ridge has won two straight in section to move into a three-way tie for fourth with Springdale and Riverview.

Malik Smith had 15 points to lead Sto-Rox.

Highlands 67, Seneca Valley 47 — Johnny Crise recorded a double-double, scoring 23 points and grabbing 16 rebounds, as the Golden Rams earned a nonsection win. Luke Cochran scored 12 points with 12 assists, and Seth Cohen added 10 points and 11 rebounds for Highlands (9-4).

Deer Lakes 57, South Allegheny 48 — Jack Hollibaugh was one of three Deer Lakes players to score 16 points in the No. 5 Lancers’ Section 3-3A win. Jared Colton and Brad Perrotte also scored 16 for Deer Lakes (10-4, 7-0).

Armstrong 55, Plum 52 Armstrong outscored Plum, 19-7, in the fourth quarter to erase a nine-point deficit in a comeback victory in Section 3-5A. Connor Moss had a game-high 18 points for the Mustangs (2-12, 2-6), and Lamar Whiting scored 14. Jalen Price led Armstrong (5-9, 3-5) with 14 points.

Shaler 74, Kiski Area 51 — Matt Bendel and Justin DeSabato led a quartet of Shaler players scoring in double figures with 18 points apiece in a Section 3-5A win. Mekhi Reynolds added 14 for the Titans (11-4, 6-2). Ryne Wallace and Nick Smith scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Kiski Area (3-12, 2-6).

Shady Side Academy 65, Burrell 45 Burrell (4-9, 3-4) was limited to 12 first-half points by Shady Side Academy (6-9, 4-3) in a Section 3-3A loss. Colm O’Connor had 17 points for Shady Side Academy, which led 35-12 at halftime. Logan Bitar scored 14 points for Burrell and Logan Phillips had 11 points.

Northgate 57, Springdale 44 — Backed by 23 points from Malcolm Randall, Northgate (2-13, 1-7) snapped a 44-game losing streak in section play with a Section 1-2A victory over Springdale (8-6, 4-4). Northgate’s last section win was on Jan. 5, 2016 against Sto-Rox. Demitri Fritch scored 13 points for the Dynamos.

Seneca Valley 52, North Hills 31 — McKenna Gross tallied 19 points as No. 5 Seneca Valley (11-3, 5-3) won in Section 1-6A.

Latrobe 53, Albert Gallatin 50 — Rachel Ridilla scored 16 points, and Anna Rafferty and Carly Augustine each had 10 as Latrobe (9-3, 5-3) won in Section 3-5A.

Bryn Bezjak had 27 points, including four 3-pointers, for Albert Gallatin (5-8, 2-6).

Plum 62, Greensburg Central Catholic 51 — Sophomore center Kennedie Montue scored 37 points to power Class 5A Plum (7-7) past Class A No. 2 Greensburg Central Catholic (12-2) in a nonsection game at GCC.

Senior Kelsi Sik added 11 points for Plum, which turned a 14-4 deficit into a 29-26 lead by halftime and added to its lead in the second half.

Senior Bella Skatell scored 22 and junior Melina Maietta added 21 for GCC.

Kiski Area 57, Highlands 23 — Kiski Area (4-10) used a 21-2 run in the third quarter to pull away for a nonsection victory. Hannah Potter scored 23 points and made five 3-pointers. Violeta Kenzevich added 12 points for the Cavaliers. Sarah Sawhook led Highlands (2-12) with 12 points.

Central Valley 48, Keystone Oaks 39 — Christiane Frye had 15 points to lift No. 3 Central Valley (12-1, 6-1) to a Section 2-4A win.

West Greene 75, Ellis School 57 — Madison Lampe had 24 points, and McKenna Lampe added 20 as Class A No. 1 West Greene (13-1) won a nonsection game. Katharine Ference had 22 points for Class 2A Ellis School (11-4).
