Morgan Ryan continues to shine in the WPIAL Class 6-A Section 2 section as she notched her 13th win Thursday evening. Ryan threw a complete game shutout as she allowed just 3 hits, 1 walk with 10 strikeouts as the Spartans of Hempfield knocked off the rival Latrobe Wildcats 3-0.

Sophomore Kiley Myers pitched 4 clean innings for Latrobe until allowing single runs in the 5th, 6th and 7th. Myers had 6 strikeouts.

Autumn Heasley and Laura Fox homered for Hempfield to provide insurance in the late innings. Fox finished 3-for-4 with a homerun and 2 RBIs.

Hempfield moves to 18-0 overall and 9-0 in section. Latrobe is now 8-6 overall with a conference record of 7-3. Both teams have qualified for the upcoming WPIAL Class 6-A playoffs.
