The district playoffs are over and now the fun begins as the elite boys basketball teams from across the state start going head to head with the start of the PIAA postseason.

Most of the top teams took care of business in their respective district playoffs as there were only a few changes in the latest Trib HSSN boys basketball state rankings.

Some teams lost in the district championship game and survived to cling to a spot in the Top 5; however, four teams were not so lucky as Father Judge in 6A, Blue Mountain in 4A, Camp Hill Trinity in 3A and Greensburg Central Catholic in 2A dropped out of this week’s state rankings.

Replacing them were Parkland in 6A, Allentown Central Catholic in 4A, Girard in 3A and West Branch in 2A.

There was one change at the top of the rankings as Loyalsock Township and Troy flip-flopped between No. 1 and 3 in Class 3A following the Lancers’ victory over the Trojans in the District 4 finals.

The other top teams in each classification remained the same with Lower Merion in 6A, Imhotep Charter in 5A, Neumann-Goretti in 4A, Constitution in 2A and Imani Christian in A still at No. 1.
