We say goodbye to the 12 district girls basketball postseasons and cut the ribbon for the two-week ride on the Road to Hershey.

Since the district semifinals and championship games from last week, there was one team dropped and one new entry into the Top 5 of the weekly Trib HSSN girls basketball state rankings.

These is still time to re-enter for some, but for now, we show the door to Dallastown in 6A, Malvern Villa Maria Academy in 5A, Lansdale Catholic in 4A, Avonworth in 3A, Maplewood in 2A and Williamsburg in A.

Replacing them in order prior to the start of the PIAA playoffs are Central Dauphin, Bethlehem Catholic, Villa Joseph Marie, Shady Side Academy, Marion Center and Linville Hill Christian School.

The only change to the top-ranked teams was in Class 4A when Wyomissing defeated Delone Catholic in the District 3 title game. Thus the Spartans take over at No. 1 while the Squires drop to No. 3.

The other five No. 1 teams in each class remained the same with Perkiomen Valley in 6A, Archbishop Wood in 5A, Lancaster Catholic in 3A, Kennedy Catholic in 2A and Union in A still at No. 1.
