WPIAL sets schedule for basketball finals at Petersen Events Center

The WPIAL has finalized the championship schedule for the boys and girls basketball playoffs with dates and times for each of the 12 finals.

There are three games Thursday, four on Friday and five on Saturday at Petersen Events Center.

The first day’s schedule is set with Imani Christian and Neighborhood Academy meeting in the Class A boys final at 5 p.m. Thursday, followed by the Greensburg Central Catholic and Serra Catholic girls in the 2A girls final at 7 p.m., and Lincoln Park and Hampton in the 4A boys final at 9 p.m.

Avonworth and Shady Side Academy will play in the Class 3A girls final at 3 p.m. Friday. The other eight championship matchups are undecided pending the outcome of semifinal games Monday and Tuesday.
