Win and you're in. A simple enough concept, especially for teams facing such a scenario in Week 9 of the WPIAL football season. Last week, Shady Side Academy edged Mount Lebanon to win the 2010 WPIAL Girls Team Tennis Class AAA Championship. One week later, history has repeated itself in the 2010 PIAA Girls Team Tennis Finals. For some teams, Friday night in Week night turned into a harsh trick. However for those who were able to rack up the 'W', this final Friday of the regular season served as a delicious treat. One of the shortest playoff tournaments hosted by the WPIAL is set for the finals following Semifinals Wednesday in the 2010 WPIAL Girls Field Hockey Playoffs. A great weekend of college football around the area. This week saw a long division winning streak come to an end as well as the third ranked team in Divsion II go down to defeat. Another national power was taken to overtime in Division III and history was made in New Wilmington with the first ever game under the lights.
