High school roundup for Sept. 18, 2023: Peters Township gets past Upper St. Clair in battle of girls soccer unbeatens
Julia Spergel scored early in the first half and Peters Township (7-0-1, 5-0-1) made it stand up in a 1-0 victory over Upper St. Clair (7-1, 5-1) in a matchup of unbeaten teams in Section 2-4A girls soccer Monday night. Cam Klein assisted on the winning goal, which was the first Upper St. Clair has given up this season.
Plum girls soccer earns tightly contested win over Franklin Regional
The Plum and Franklin Regional girls soccer teams met twice last year in section play, resuming a local rivalry that was dormant for three years.
