Trib HSSN Wrestling Team of the Week: Canon-McMillan

Canon-McMillan started the 2019-20 season on the right note. The Big Macs took third in the Cumberland Valley Kickoff tournament, then won the King of the Mountain tournament by eight points over Mifflin County last weekend.
Trib HSSN Wrestler of the Week: Waynesburg’s Mac Church
Waynesburg’s Mac Church had a great weekend at the Walsh Jesuit (Ohio) Ironman Classic tournament. He placed second in the 106-pound weight class, which had seven other nationally ranked 106-pound wrestlers. The Waynesburg freshman was No. 12 heading into the weekend.

Waynesburg transfer Wyatt Henson, a Missouri state wrestling champion, was ruled eligible Monday for the WPIAL and PIAA tournaments this winter.

The Butler Golden Tornado started their season with a tournament win at the Chartiers-Houston Invitational, where they topped a field of 29 teams by having a champion, four third-place finishers, a fourth-place medalist and two fifths.
